About the artist
Alexandra Boyden creates abstract landscapes. Growing up with both an artist mother who taught her to notice, and a father who embraced simplicity, augmented her traditional art education. A love of travel and hiking continue to feed her playfully, imaginative and intuitive approach. Alex’s art has been represented by galleries, from coast to coast, for over 20 years.
"Other landscapes, both real and imagined, are now frameworks for an ongoing exploration toward abstraction. I continually experiment with color, form, gesture and ultimately a more intuitive approach. In the end, I strive to make images equally compelling to their origins, but with a newfound personality."
