Tipton, Randall David

About the artist

Randall David Tipton has used the landscape as a guiding orientation for his work. Enveloping the complexity of the landscape through bands and gestures. Focusing intently on a particular aspect or capturing the abstract fluidity found in nature. The artist’s motive has always been to suggest something fundamental and primal. This impulse coming from a simple belief in the restorative qualities in nature. Inspired by the American tradition of Thoreau to Frederick Edwin Church to Author Dove, Tipton includes himself among those trying to expose and explore the transcendental relationship we have with the natural world.
