Mary says, “Grasses, leaves, and the natural world inspire me. These objects have a gleeful, whimsical, dancing feeling. I hope to capture the “nature” of these subjects in my paintings without being too serious! It is pure pleasure to place all kinds of objects where one would not necessarily find them in reality. The effervescent colors reflect my joy of life”
