About the artist
Debra Carnes is a local fiber artist. All baskets are individually designed, and hand crafted. For more than thirty years self taught Debra Carnes has been hand-crafting woven works of art from ever changing materials. Her pieces have been displayed in juried shows and galleries in Michigan, Florida and Oregon. Debra’s baskets and sculptures are inspired by colors, textures and shapes in nature. She strives to create contemporary work while mastering historical techniques.
